An online and catalogue retailer supplying architectural products to builders, joiners and shop fitters for over 40 years. They started out as a traditional Ironmonger’s shop and today, they deliver thousands of parcels every week to tradesmen all over the UK.

How important is direct mail to your business?
Direct mail is the driving force of our business and although 30% of our business transactions are completed online, the majority of purchases are still centred around our catalogue. We mail a new edition to 50,000 of our customer base bi-monthly.
What were the main issues that you faced before moving to ADM?
We had a complete lack of understanding of the fulfilment process, of data management and of the postal system. Fulfilment tended to be an afterthought organised by our printers.
How were ADM able to help you?
First and foremost, they saved us money and additionally they were able to give us a greater understanding of the fulfilment and postal processes. They can also give us second opinions on efficient mailing and the output from our printers.

The decision was primarily cost-driven, but we also feel that there is added value with the wealth of knowledge that they have and support they can give.
What improvements have you seen since moving to work with ADM?
We have made major cost savings on the postage. ADM also take the stress away.
What is your top mailing tip?
Make sure all parties to the project are well acquainted for ease of communication, so that you’re not playing the middle man.
