How important is direct mail to your business?
Direct mail is critical to the organisation. Our major mailing is the member magazine – this is a major part of the annual subscription package. The mailing is also utilised for inserts ranging from the membership information to fund raising leaflets. Direct mail is fundamental to the membership teams in both the retention and recruitment of members.
What were the main issues that you faced before moving to ADM?
Cost was the initial driver to look for a new mailing house but also we were lacking visibility in the overall process leading to last minute problems.
How were ADM able to help you?
ADM revolutionised our understanding of a good mailing company, by creating a transparency in the process that wasn’t there with our previous supplier. Their willingness to dig into the minutiae of our mailing list and investigate the best possible way to distribute our packs, has proved invaluable. ADM are able to solve potential problems before they arise. They offer a flexibility that makes working with them a pleasure.
Why did you choose ADM?
Their prices were good but more importantly they went the extra mile during the tender process, offering more than just the answer to the question. We choose ADM for the quality of the customer service team and for the involvement and availability of the decision makers. We choose ADM for their insight and for their unrivalled knowledge of the UK postal market place.
What improvements have you seen since moving to work with ADM?
We have made major and ongoing cost savings on our postage. ADM take the stress out of mailing and we now manage the whole mailing process far more efficiently then ever before.
What is your top mailing tip?
When mailing large numbers of items, book them in early and make sure that everyone in the supply chain communicates regularly.
